Tesla Energy’s Powerwall 2.0 is here!

Big news from Tesla Energy: The Powerwall 2.0 Home Battery is here, and we’re excited to announce that as of January 2017 it will become an integral part of our product lineup!
The original Powerwall has been wildly popular among consumers, and we expect no less from the impressive and revolutionary Powerwall 2.0.
2.0 = Greater Capacity
With 2.0, the Powerwall now offers 14 kilowatt hours, more than double the first version. This capacity happens to be our most popular size.
How does Tesla Powerwall 2.0 work?
In the event of a an electric utility grid outage, the Powerwall 2.0 will kick in right away to work with your SunPower solar system. It has enough energy stored to supply many hours of energy to critical loads, such as your refrigerator, lights, and plug loads. If you study your electric bill, you’ll find that the average house consumes about 35 kilowatt hours (kWh) per day. At 14 kilowatt hours, the Tesla Powerwall can deliver just under half of one full day of energy usage. However, thanks to the power of the sun your SunPower solar panels will recharge the batteries, extending the available energy! For this reason we design a critical load panel and designate essential loads for emergency scenarios, ensuring that homeowners can carefully manage their backup power resources.
The Future is Now
We’re excited to soon offer Tesla Energy’s Powerwall 2.0 alongside our high performance SunPower solar systems, providing our clients with the ultimate combination of clean solar energy and reliable backup power.
